Connections

We are biological beings who are a part of an complex, interconnected web of life, which enables us to live. There are countless communities of life within this web, (ocean community, desert, community etc.) all interconnected and connected to the larger elements such as air, water, earth etc.

We are connected to this web, whether we know it or not. What we do affects the web, we are affected by the web.

We are constantly interacting with the web of Earthlife. Everything we do, every breath we inhale or exhale, everything we choose to eat or drink, use or throw away, our sweat, shed skin, elimination, even thoughts all affects the web.

Everything we have comes from Earth. We breath the air, eat food grown in Earth’s soil, our clothes, houses, cars everything comes from Earth.

We breathe the same air as the ancients breathed we drink the same water. The health of the web affects us, we affect the health of the web. All our choices matter. We are related to all.

Some of you may already have experienced this connection or parts of it, some not. The best way to achieve this of course is the direct experience of pristine nature.

All living beings have so much in common, whether plant or animal, we are all made of the same things that Earth is made of, we all are part of Earth’s community, we move with her gravity and her cycles, we all are born or hatched, come into physical form, we all grow, we all want to survive, to replicate, we all need air, water and food, we love, we touch, we all grow old, we all die, and nourish new life which repeats the cycle. All Earthlife has a lot in common.

It is our disconnect from Nature and the true reality of our being that is causing the problems on our planet today.

So let us  reconnect with the reality of our existence,  with the web of Earthlife, which is more than the sum of its parts, on this precious planet.
